| BRITE Net was formed to promote high quality
joint interdisciplinary cross institution grant applications
in the UK. The way we are doing this is to organize small
regional afternoon meetings (anything from 10 – 50 people).
The host chooses a topic and invites speakers from his department
and colleagues from the region and BRITE Net publicises the
meeting and other BRITE net members can attend the meeting
if they wish. BRITE Net sponsors the refreshments, assists
with the agenda and helps with organisation of the meeting.
All that the host needs to do is find a departmental seminar
room/lecture theatre for the meeting and BRITE Net liaises
with a post doc or lecturer regarding the catering and the
list of invitees which the host provides for BRITE Net to
send out.
